Refund & Returns Policy

Changed your mind, or something arrived faulty? This policy explains your right to withdraw, exchange or return, who pays for return shipping, and exactly how and when we refund you — in line with Egypt's Consumer Protection Law.

Draft for review. This policy is drafted to align with our Terms & Conditions and the Consumer Protection Law. It must be reviewed by Egyptian-qualified counsel and published in Arabic (the prevailing text) before going live. Highlighted items still need to be confirmed.

1Your rights at a glance

You have three overlapping protections when you buy from us. You may always rely on whichever gives you the better outcome.

Right Time limit Applies when
Change of mind (withdrawal) 14 days from receipt You simply changed your mind — no reason needed.
Faulty or non-conforming goods 30 days from receipt The item is defective, not as described, or unfit for the purpose you contracted for.
Warranty (Durable Goods) 2 years minimum A manufacturing defect appears within the warranty period.

214-day right to change your mind

CPL Art. 17CPL Art. 40
2.1

You may withdraw from your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. You may also exchange an item or return it and recover its price within the same period.

2.2

To use this right, notify us before the 14 days expire (see section 5), then return the goods in their original condition — complete with accessories, manuals and original packaging — together with the invoice.

2.3

Where you are simply changing your mind and the goods are as described and free of defect, you bear the cost of return shipping. See section 6 for the full breakdown.

330-day right for faulty or non-conforming goods

CPL Art. 21CPL Art. 19
3.1

You have 30 days from receipt to exchange a good, or return it and recover its price, if it is defective, does not conform to its specifications, or does not conform to the purpose for which you contracted. We will exchange it or collect it and refund its value at no additional cost to you.

3.2

Recurring defects. If the same defect recurs more than twice within the first year and materially affects performance, we will replace the item with a new one of the same type and specifications, or refund its value.

Fragile items — a quick tip

Ceramic, porcelain and glass can be damaged in transit. Reporting transit damage within 48 hours with photos helps us pursue the carrier faster. Reporting later does not remove any of your statutory rights.

4When these rights do not apply

CPL Art. 40

Consistent with the Consumer Protection Law, the right to withdraw, exchange or return does not apply where:

4.1
  1. the nature or packaging of the good prevents its return, or makes it impossible to restore it to its pre-contract condition;
  2. the good is perishable;
  3. the good is no longer in the same condition as at sale for a reason attributable to you;
  4. the good was made to special specifications you determined and conforms to them — including made-to-measure shower enclosures, cut stone and worktops, custom vanity units and bespoke finishes;
  5. the good is printed matter or software whose packaging you have opened;
  6. you have fully used a service before the withdrawal period expired;
  7. a defect arose from your improper handling; or
  8. the request is contrary to the nature of the product, to trade custom, or is an abuse of the right of withdrawal.

5How to start a return or exchange

1

Notify us

Email info.turqwaz@gmail.com or message +20 122 310 1215, or use your account, quoting your order number. Do this before your 14- or 30-day window closes.

2

Pack the item

Repack the goods in their original condition with all accessories, manuals, original packaging and the invoice.

3

We arrange collection or return

We will confirm the return method and, where we bear the cost (see section 6), arrange collection. Keep proof of return until your refund is confirmed.

4

We inspect and refund

Once the goods reach us we inspect them and process your refund within the time limits in section 7.

6Who pays for return shipping

CPL Art. 41
Situation Who pays return shipping
You changed your mind (goods as described, no defect) You bear the return cost.
Goods are faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose We bear the return cost.
Wrong item delivered, or item arrived damaged We bear the return cost.
We delivered late (see our Delivery Policy / Terms clause 9.2) We bear all return and delivery costs.

7How and when we refund you

CPL Art. 40(2)
7.1

We refund by the same method you used to pay, unless we agree another method with you.

7.2

We refund within 7 days at the latest — calculated from the date the goods are returned to us (or, for services, from the date of contracting). Where you withdraw because we delivered late, we refund immediately on your notice.

7.3

Instalment purchases. If you paid through a finance provider, we remit the refund to that provider, which then settles with you under its own agreement. We will tell you when we have remitted it.

7.4

Card refunds. Once we process a card refund, the time for the funds to appear depends on your bank — typically [X business days].

8Installed products & Supply & Apply works

CPL Art. 26
8.1

Sanitaryware, brassware and fittings that have been cut, drilled, sealed, plumbed in or otherwise installed generally cannot be restored to their pre-contract condition, so the 14-day change-of-mind right does not apply to them. Your rights for a defective or non-conforming product are unaffected.

8.2

For our Supply & Apply installation service, the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply once works have begun. Instead, the works and the products we supply are warranted for at least one year (three years where a defect is due to fraud or gross negligence), and cancellation is handled under the Works Order. See our Terms & Conditions, section 14.

Cancelling Supply & Apply

If you cancel before works begin, we refund your deposit less any products already made to your specification and any survey or design work performed, itemised in writing. If you cancel after works begin, you pay only for works properly performed and materials properly supplied to that date.

9Warranty claims

CPL Art. 20CPL Art. 22
9.1

Durable Goods (sanitaryware, brassware, water heaters, air conditioners and major appliances) carry a warranty against manufacturing defects for at least two years from receipt. For products we install, the warranty runs from the date of actual installation or commissioning.

9.2

Within warranty, inspection, repair, original spare parts, technician travel and transport of the product to and from the service centre are all covered at no cost to you. If we cannot repair a product, we replace it with a new one of the same type and specifications, or refund its value.

9.3

To make a warranty claim, contact us with your order number and a description (and, where possible, photos) of the fault. Service-centre details for each brand are on the relevant brand page.

10Complaints and the Consumer Protection Authority

CPL Art. 43(3)CPL Art. 52
10.1

If you are unhappy with how a return, exchange or refund has been handled, contact us at info.turqwaz@gmail.com or +20 122 310 1215. We acknowledge complaints within [2] working days and aim to resolve them within [14] working days.

10.2

You may also complain to the Consumer Protection Authority at any time, at no cost, and you do not have to come to us first. Where the Authority issues a binding decision, we implement it.
